Meet

Mary Beth

More than two decades ago, I was attending a leadership conference sponsored by the food industry where I worked at the time. It was a visioning session and they imagined that we would design the next innovation in restaurants or the next home delivery program. What I designed was exactly what I am doing today—consulting with nonprofits and helping them to advance their own missions. I thought it would take winning the lottery to accomplish this, but it turns out that having a vision and a plan works too.

I love contributing to such a wide array of causes, most that I personally care about myself. I have met so many inspiring people and have learned so much. It is a great way for me to take my wide breadth of experience in different sectors and fields and make a difference to nonprofits and the communities they serve.

I have an interesting and dynamic life outside of my career. I am a Mom, mother-in-law, and became an “instant” Grandma. I contribute to the caregiving of my Mom. I volunteer with danceability. I am a (usually) enthusiastic (but not pretentious) Peloton user and avid walker in good weather. I enjoy my two loyal cats who seem to like me even when food is not involved. I read books and listen to audiobooks (and have gotten over feeling like that is cheating). However, I have not yet signed up for some kind of adventure vacation and I have not written the book whose title I have but don’t yet know the ending to. (By the way, I use she/her pronouns. It didn’t fit anywhere else!)
